The platforms and the producers and companies behind them are living through times of change. And now, the new Marvel series, Armor Wars en Disney Pluswhich will be released in 2023, will no longer go to the streaming service, because Marvel Studios decided to turn it into a movie and release it in theaters.
Don Cheadle, who reprized his longtime role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes, aka War Machine, is sure to be the star.
The planes were that the production of Armor Wars on Disney Plus will begin production in the year 2023. But, now everything has changed.
Because this modification will alter the timeline that Marvel has managed to accept with a lot of strategy and logistics, depending on the phases of their films and series. which premieres on Disney Plus.
Originally, Armor Wars on Disney Plus was going to have a total of six episodes. But, now, it is not clear what the story will be about, or who will be the director of the film, or who will accompany Cheadle in the cast, much less how he will be included in the MCU.
The title Armor Wars comes from a famous story that ran in Iron Man comics in 1987 and 1988.
Don Cheadle’s next Marvel appearance is still the MCU series Secret Invasion, which also stars Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn and is set to debut in 2023.
This Armor Wars change isn’t the first twist Marvel has made with a production. Initially, Hawkeye was intended as a movie, before the producers decided to turn it into a series for Disney Plus.
Either way, Armor Wars will debut in due course Disney Plus, after its passage through the cinemas, as they do all the titles that belong to the entertainment giant. Now, all that remains is to wait, and enjoy the rest of the films and phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
