The two teams will face off in Super Bowl LVII, which will be played on February 12 at 4:30 p.m. local time, Arizona (8:30 p.m. ARG). Between 2004 and 2021 the Super Bowl was played on the first weekend in February. No embargo, due to the NFL schedule change, it is now played on the second Sunday of the second month.
The game will be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, home of the Arizona Cardinals (the stadium will host its third Super Bowl and first since 2015).
It is the first Super Bowl location in which the league did not use an application process to host the game. The NFL unilaterally chooses a site for the game, for this to happen each eligible city submits a proposal to host the game, which is voted on at the league meetings.
If there is something that has always left the public in general and the fans of this sport speechless, it is the advertising costs that are handled in the event. For this edition, industry sources cited by AdAge magazine indicate that a price of $7 million has been paid for some 30-second spots, which would be a new record for the broadcast of the final game of the NFL.
