How to prepare a rich and healthy recipe for Christmas I Shaio

The Christmas holidays have arrived and it’s the right time to share with family and friends rich food and drinks, that’s why we’re sharing a recipe that apart from being healthy, is quite easy to make and cheap. A healthy dish full of flavor, which goes down well to lighten the amount of food rich in calories that is eaten during these holidays.

Chicken, a healthy and delicious meat

Chicken will always be a winning choice for a dinner, as it adapts to the taste of any palate, can be prepared in many ways and is a food that has a high content of protein, vitamin A, B complex, and minerals such as iron, zinc, phosphorus among others.

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180° for 20 minutes.

  • Squeeze 2 or 3 lemons until you have about 60ml of lemon juice and mix with the mustard, English sauce, olive oil, white wine, honey, herbs, salt and pepper and whisk well.

  • Clean the chicken well, remove as much fat as possible without removing the skin.

  • If you want the chicken to have more flavor, marinate with the mixture.

  • Peel and cut the onion into large pieces.

  • Peel and mince the garlic and slice the rest of the lemons.

  • Put the marinated chicken, onions, garlic and lemons evenly in a tray or mould.

  • Bake for 30 minutes and every so often moisten the chicken with the juices from the bottom, raise the temperature to 200° and continue cooking for another 15 minutes or until the chicken is golden.

  • Let stand before serving.

The chicken is ready!

If you want to give this recipe a healthier touch, you can accompany it with a wide variety of side dishes such as rice or potatoes (mashed or roasted), sauteed vegetables or fresh salads (these provide a large amount of fiber, vitamins and antioxidants).

During these holidays, don’t limit yourself to rich food, just don’t exceed the portions, drink water, moderate your alcohol consumption and limit your consumption of processed sugar and sweets.
