Neuroscience research through NeuroReca

The projects and initiatives that are developed within the framework of this alliance will be structured through NeuroReca, the Andalusian Network of Clinical and Translational Research in Neurology, thus optimizing the synergies that already exist within the public health system of Andalusia .

It is, therefore, a public-private initiative whose scientific activity will be led by the coordinator of the NeuroReca, Pedro Serrano, head of the Neurology Unit of the Regional Hospital of Málaga, and will have the support of the co-investigators principals María Dolores Jiménez, head of the Neurology Unit at the Verge del Rocío Hospital, in Seville; and Miguel Moya, head of the Neurology Unit at the Hospital Porta del Mar in Cadiz.

In addition, twenty professionals in neuroscience will participate, both in the field of research and assistance, coming from several provinces of Andalusia.

With this alliance we intend to promote precision personalized neurology, clinical research of excellence and the training of professionals in this therapeutic area in order to generate new scientific evidence that will allow us to develop in the near future innovative solutions for health and the quality of life for patients who suffer from these pathologies”, explained the Minister of Health, Catalina García.
