While Disney bought Marvel in 2009 for $ 4 billion, one of the comic book’s favorite characters, Spider-Man, released what one could see on the streaming platform. But all that changed from July, because the entertainment giant and Sony (which had the rights to Spidey), signed an agreement and you’re all Spider-Man movies that can be seen at Disney Plus.
Initially they will not be all, as they will still operate previous alliances signed, for example with HBO Max in Latin America and Starz, in the United States, for which to transmit Spider-Man 3: No Way Home.
But the entire El Hombre Araña catalog, including of course, his appearances in other Marvel Cinematic Universe titles, such as Los Vengadores, joined the platform.
Here are all the Spider-Man movies to see at Disney Plus:
Spider-Man 1 (with Tobey Maguire)
Spider-Man 2 (with Tobey Maguire)
The Amazing Spider-Man 1 (with Andrew Garfield)
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (with Andrew Garfield)
Spider-Man: Home Coming (with Tom Holland)
For now, you’ll be on the edge of Disney Plus, Spider-Man 3 (starring Tobey Maguire) and Spider-Man 2: Far From Home and Spider-Man 3: No Way Homeeven if it’s a matter of time before they finally move to Disney’s streaming service.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man 3: No Way Home premieres with different dates depending on the market in which we are. In the United States it will do it the 15 of July through Starz and in Latin America it will be the 22 of July a HBO Maxas we had exclusively advanced.
On the other hand, the training giant The Walt Disney Company and the American premium channel chain Starz (owned by the Lionsgate film studio), two of the leading companies with streaming services, have joined in an unprecedented alliance for Latin America and now offer its subscribers the opportunity to jointly access Disney Plus services more Star Plus more StarzPlay. The offer is available in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru.
The strategic decision of these platforms, on the part of Disney and Starz, ends up confirming the union with a plan that encompasses under a single price these three streaming services in Latin America, with a strong presence, becoming one of the most attractive options on the market with a rate adjusted to each one of the countries where they are presented.
